Two hard hitting boom bap tracks herald the second double A-side 12" for hip-hop label 72 Records.
"Theme" features Toronto based MC Arcee alongside S-Rocc from Canadian crew Brass Munk. Arcee, first hit wax back in 1998 and has had classic tunes released on the respected labels Conception and ABB, one of the most highly regarded mc's out there.
"Slumber" features two of the biggest names in the British hip-hop scene - Yungun and Jehst. Yungun aka Essa, is rapidly gaining a reputation as the next man to blow up. Despite only appearing on a handful of releases so far, 2004 looks set to be his year with a number of slamming solo joints and collaborations on the way.
Producer and MC, Jehst has already found a huge following through a phenomenal series of 12"s, e.p."s and last years groundbreaking "Falling Down" Lp. He has helped establish the respected hip hop labels Low Life and YNR through his own highly original music and lyrical dexterity.
"Slumber" is featured on DJ Skitz "HomeGrown vol.1" CD and DJ MK "vol.19" CD.
This release features sleeve illustration from the legendary Cam Kennedy. Known for his influential work in the 2000AD, Judge Dredd, Rogue Trooper, Bobba Fett/Star Wars comic books.
